Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a four-crawler type endless track vehicle having a flat and wide area on a body with wide space below the lower side of the body, and ensuring suitability for use as a work vehicle or a carrier capable of travel on an ungraded or weak ground.
CONSTITUTION: In a four-crawler type endless track vehicle having the constitution where a pair of right and left front crawlers 8 steered with a steering wheel 19, and a pair of right and left rear crawlers 9 capable of vertical oscillation like a seesaw about a lateral support shaft, are respectively arranged under a body, a transmission case 30 of horizontal shaft structure is provided near the lower side of the body. Power is transmitted to the rear crawlers 9 from right and left output shafts laid at the rear end of the transmission case 30, while power is transmitted to the front crawlers 8 via a propeller shaft 42 extended forward from the side of the transmission case 30. The endless track vehicle is thereby so constructed that the front and rear crawlers 8 and 9 are driven synchronously.
