To provide an endoscope capable of surely preventing large loads from being applied to the endoscope when a difference between an inner pressure of a connector part and an outer pressure to a movable valve body becomes a prescribed value or larger.
An endoscope includes: a support cylinder 38 whose inner side end part is communicating with an internal space of a connector part 14 and outer side end part is opened; a movable valve body 45 provided inside the support cylinder and freely slidable; a valve body internal flow path 53 formed in the movable valve body; valve body holding means 37, 44, and 60 for holding the movable valve body at a closed position when a difference between force in the direction moving the movable valve body from the closed position to an open position and force in the direction of moving it from the open position to the closed position, that are put on the movable valve body, is smaller than a prescribed value, and allowing the movement of the movable valve body to the open position when the difference becomes the prescribed value or larger; and a closed position stopper portion 55 provided in the movable valve body, for regulating sliding of the movable valve body to the side opposite to the open position across the closed position by abutting on the support cylinder when the movable valve body is positioned at the closed position.
