To provide a train (railway vehicle) capable of saving energy by the effective use of regenerative energy, reducing the peak power at a substation, and of saving energy as the entire railway system.
Under the condition where an energy transmission/reception system is mounted which at least comprises an inverter 205, a motor 206, an energy accumulator 211, a wireless communication controller 210, and an energy controller 208, a pantograph point voltage of each train is controlled to allow transmission/reception of energy between trains. So the energy loss at regenerative braking is prevented, while the peak power at a substation caused by simultaneous acceleration of a plurality of trains within a substation precinct is suppressed.
