To provide an engaging structure for making a first engaging member and a second engaging member easily and firmly engaged with each other while eliminating the need for thermal bonding and screwing work, and to provide an automobile interior member equipped therewith.
The engaging structure comprises a door trim 1 and a panel member 2, The door trim is plate-shaped with a projecting 10, a locking pawl 11 and a recessed portion 13. The locking pawl is provided on one face of the projecting of the door trim and obliquely projects in the out-of-plane direction the door trim. The recessed portion is formed on the other face of the projecting of the door trim and recessed in the out-of-plane direction of the door trim. The panel member is plate-shaped with a hole 20. The hole has a lock mechanism 21 which has a protruded portion 22 protruded in the in-plane direction of the panel member. The protruded portion of the panel member is fitted to the recessed portion of the door trim when the locking pawl is inserted into the hole to be engaged with a peripheral edge 25 of the hole opposite to the protruded portion.
