Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a production amount of smoke during high rotation and a high load, in a diesel engine in which an intake valve in a tangential port is driven at a smaller working angle and a smaller lift amount than an intake valve in a helical port.SOLUTION: When the operating state of a diesel engine 10 is in a low load region, valve timing of a second intake valve 26 is changed so that the maximum lift timing of valve lift of the second intake valve 26 is moved to a retard angle side with respect to the maximum lift timing for valve lift of a first intake valve 16. When the operating state of the diesel engine 10 is in a medium-high load region, a valve timing of the second intake valve 26 is changed so that the maximum lift timing of valve lift of the second intake valve 26 is moved to an advance angle side with respect to the maximum lift timing of valve lift of the first intake valve 16.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
