Abstract:
To prevent the lowering of fuel consumption performance by suppressing unnecessary fuel pressure rise while removing deposits from an injection hole of a fuel injection valve with fuel pressure rise.SOLUTION: An ECU 20 includes a deposit estimation part 27 for performing processing to estimate a deposit accumulation amount in an injection hole 15B of an injector 15 (step S2), and a fuel pressure control part 26 for allowing the fuel pressure rise of the injector 15 when the deposit accumulation amount is equal to or greater than a predetermined value. When the deposit accumulation amount estimated by the deposit estimation part 27 is equal to or greater than the predetermined value, the fuel pressure control part 26 switches from a basic fuel pressure map to a deposit removing fuel pressure map to control a high pressure fuel pump 153 (step S8). When an engine speed region is divided into a high speed region where the speed is relatively high and a low speed region where the speed is relatively low, if the high speed region is shown in the deposit removing fuel pressure map, however, the fuel pressure rise is restricted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
