Abstract:
To lower torque with good responsiveness while preventing backfire from occurring.
In this engine controller for controlling such an engine that hydrogen is directly supplied into a combustion chamber and burned, when torque down control conditions are determined to be established after it is determined whether the torque down control conditions are established or not, for example, a hydrogen injection timing is correctively advanced from a compression stroke to a intake stroke under high rotational speed and high load conditions to lower the drive torque of the engine.
