Abstract:
To properly execute water injection to a combustion chamber so that loss in an engine is compensated, when an engine rotating speed is comparatively low.SOLUTION: An engine system 100 includes: an engine 1 generating power of a vehicle by burning a mixture of fuel and intake air; a water injection device 4 for injecting heated water into a combustion chamber 11 of the engine 1; an engine rotating speed sensor SN2 detecting a rotating speed of the engine 1; and a controller 10 configured to control the water injection device 4 to inject the water into the combustion chamber 11 in an expansion stroke of the engine 1. The controller 10 is configured to control the water injection device 4 to increase a water injection amount in comparison with a case when the engine rotating speed is in a second rotating speed region R2 of a prescribed rotating speed N1 or more, when the engine rotating speed is within a first rotating speed region R1 of less than the prescribed rotating speed N1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
