To provide an engine working machine which is improved in usability by installing both an auto choke mechanism and a manual choke mechanism.

An engine working machine includes a carburetor 35 and an air cleaner box (60), and as a choke means, a manual choke valve 62 that manually narrows an intake passage, and an auto choke valve 65 that is electrically driven by a rotary solenoid 67. The choke means is configured to operate such that either of the choke valves narrows the intake passage of the carburetor 35. The auto choke valve is a plate-like member which turns about a rotary driving shaft 66, and is configured to close all or part of the intake passage by driving the rotary solenoid 67.
