Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an environmental test jig of a simple arrangement having good handleability and capable of readily changing the environmental temperature of a sample in measuring the strength of the sample.
SOLUTION: The jig comprises a lower sample fixing block 60 supported against the table 10 of a material tester to fix the lower part of the sample S thereto, and an upper sample fixing block 70 supported on a block support 20 to fix the upper part of the sample thereto, the block support 20 provided oppositely to the table 10 in such a way as to be freely movable in the direction of the table surface. The lower sample fixing block and the upper sample fixing block are formed as a pair of upper and lower box-shaped structures 65, 75 opposing each other and surrounding the sample while enabling control of temperatures in the internal spaces of the structures.
