Abstract:
To elucidate a novel active ingredient with an anti-cancer/anti-metastatic action, a pain-suppressing action, and an anti-influenza virus action, via c-Met kinase inhibitory action, from Ephedra herb extract or ephedrine alkaloid-free Ephedra herb extract (EFE) and establishing a manufacturing method for the ingredient, thereby providing a pharmaceutical that can be administered in high potency and in which the risk of developing side effects due to ingredients other than the active ingredient has been eliminated.SOLUTION: Provided are an extract fraction containing a polymer condensed tannin with a weight average molecular weight of 45,000 or more derived from Ephedra herb extract or ephedrine alkaloid-free Ephedra herb extract (EFE), the extract fraction containing 30% or more of the polymer condensed tannin having a weight average molecular weight of 45,000 or more; a manufacturing method thereof; and a pharmaceutical composition containing the extract fraction.SELECTED DRAWING: None
