To provide an eraser having a polishing face constantly projected all the time from a front end of a rubber eraser, following abrasion of the rubber eraser, even in a continuous erasing operation, to erase (remove) a fixed matter (deposited matter) on a face such as toner print on a paper face by a dry type copying machine, a printed portion on the paper surface by printing ink of a printer, a calligraphy of a ball-point pen or the like on the paper surface, and a stain deposited onto a cooking part of a gas range or on the periphery thereof.

The eraser is constituted to open at least a front side of the soft and easily abradable rubber eraser, and to arrange a rod-like body fixed to cover a rear hard columnar body by a flexible elastomer having a flange part formed in a front periphery with a substantially cylindrical shape with the closed front side in an opening of the rubber easer, the flange part of the elastomer is formed to be opened more widely than the opening of the rubber eraser, an abrasive of super-hard fine grain is joined to a front end face of the elastomer, to serve as a polishing face, and the polishing face is projected forward from the front end of the rubber eraser. An irregular part is provided in the side periphery of the columnar body, in the eraser.
