Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an erect cartridge type front fork capable of securing certain damping force for a long period of time.
CONSTITUTION: In an erect cartridge type front fork furnished with a cartridge 4 to generate damping force in an expansion cylinder 2 forming an oil reserver and a sealing means 6a having a unidirectional property on a rod guide part 6 provided on the upper side of this cartridge 4, a bulkhead member 10 to partition free to slide in an oil chamber on the lower part of the cartridge 4 is provided, and on its sliding end, a recessed surface part 9a communicating both sides of the bulkhead member 10 is formed. A tapered large diametrical cylinder part 7 is made to be an oil lock chamber to fit free to slide with the inner periphery of an inner cylinder 2a. On the sealing means 6a of the rod guide part 6, an oil holding part 6b opening on its upper side is furnished.
