Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance estimation accuracy even when chlorophyll content is high.
SOLUTION: Induced light of a shorter wavelength than blue light such as ultraviolet light is shone on a leaf which is the measurement object. Fluorescence irradiated from the leaf by the induced light is received for measuring a spectrum. The chlorophyll content of the leaf is estimated on the basis of a ratio of a peak intensity of chlorophyll fluorescence in the fluorescence spectrum and a peak intensity of fluorespence in a blue-green region such as F460/F740 and a correlation between the ratio and the chlorophyll content of the leaf.
