Abstract:
To provide a stainless steel plate formed with a bar code or the like for which reflectance is unchanged for a long time.
The stainless steel plate is immersed in a solution of chromic acid/sulfuric acid mixture to form an oxide film on the surface, and then partially irradiated with a laser beam. As a result, the oxide film is partially removed, areas with the film and without film are formed. Thus, the etched stainless steel plate is made.
