Abstract:

To provide a new alternative of ether carboxylic acids based on alkoxylated nonylphenols which has no great potential risk and has the same or greater surface activating properties than the ether carboxylic acids based on alkoxylated nonylphenols.

The present invention relates to a compound represented by formula (1) (wherein A is a 2-4C alkylene, B is a 1-4C alkylene, x is 1-3, and y is 1-100).
