To provide an evaluation device for a thrust bearing mechanism capable of evaluating precisely the thrust bearing mechanism under the condition closely near to that of an actual machine.
This evaluation device 21 for the thrust bearing mechanism is provided with the first and second fixed members 24, 25, a driving shaft 22 having an eccentric part 30 arranged between the first and second fixed members 24, 25, in its tip, an eccentric thrust ball bearing 29 for receiving an eccentric thrust load, a decentering bearing 23 mounted on the eccentric part 30, provided between the first and second fixed members 24, 25, including a protrusion 45 extended radially, and for performing an eccentric motion to the first and second fixed members 24, 25, and a thrust load loading means 26 for loading a thrust load onto a thrust bearing mechanism 11. The first thrust bearing mechanism 11 is arranged to mount the first bearing ring on the first fixed member 25, and to fix the second bearing ring onto the other ball bearing ring included in the eccentric thrust ball bearing 29. A radial-directional end face of the protrusion 45 rotation-contacts therein with a minor-diametric face of the second bearing ring or the other ball bearing ring.
