This evaluation method of the degree of glare shielding is equipped with a measuring method and a calculation method. The measuring method is a process for measuring the maximum distance rMAX between a projection means 5 and a display device 9, the former enabling an observer moving along the projection means 5 so as to be spaced apart from a display device 9 by predetermined distance, by displacing the projection means 5 in the normal line direction of the display device 9, while forming a projected image 11 having the same shape dimension as the projection pattern 10, by projecting the projection pattern 10 that includes a pair of strip parts 10a and 10b, arranged so that the respective end sides thereof face each other by the projection means 5, arranged facing the display device 9, to the display device 9, to visually recognize a state that the parts corresponding to the respective end parts of a pair of the strip parts 10a and 10b of the projected image 11 are mutually spaced apart. The calculation process is a process for calculating the degree of glare shielding of the display device 9 from a maximum distance rMAX.
