Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the evaluation method evaluating simply and quantitatively from which primary color signal and how much deviation in a coloring characteristic of the primary color signal a deviation in color balance of a color monitor results without the use of a measuring instrument and the simple evaluation chart.
CONSTITUTION: First color graphics CA1, CA2,..., CAi of the same color (such as red) whose intensity of the color is being gradually decreased and second color, graphics CB1, CB2,..., CBj of the same color (such as green) whose intensity of the color is being gradually increased are arranged alternately. When the color balance is normal, a balanced point EL of the lightness and a balanced point EC of the color intensity between both the color groups CA, CB are respectively located to one point. When the color balance is unbalanced, the points EL, EC are moved horizontally by a distance corresponding to the deviation. The deviation in the color balance is evaluated based on the movement.
