Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a multi-layer insulated electric wire formed with insulating layers by extrusion coating and satisfying the IEC standard for soldering property, heat resistance, inter-layer peeling property, and electric insulating property when the thickness of the insulating layers is made thin.
CONSTITUTION: A multi-layer insulated electric wire is made of a conductor and at least three insulating layers covering the surface of the conductor. The first insulating layer is an extrusion-coated layer of thermoplastic polyamide resin or a resin admixture containing it as the main constituent. Each of the second and third insulating layers is an extrusion-coated layer of a resin admixture combined with an ethylene copolymer of 5-40 pts.wt. having carboxylic acid or metal salt of carboxylic acid as the side chain against thermoplastic straight chain polyester resin of 100 pts.wt.
