Title:
EVAPORATIVE CROSS-FLOW TYPE COOLING TOWER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07305995
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the dimensional kinds of units, lighten the weight of the same, achieve space-saving, make unit shipment of each component member possible and improve the efficiency of assembling the component members after shipment by a method wherein a unit integrated with a water tank having the same plane area as that of a heat-exchanging section is formed below the heat-exchanging section and in a position adjacent to a fan unit for air flow.

CONSTITUTION: Heat-exchanging section unit 2 is constructed as a unit wherein a heat exchanger housing section 23 is integrated with a water tank 24 having the same plane area as that of the heat exchanger housing section 23. The water tank 24 made of synthetic resin and the like is manufactured by an integral mold, and water-sealing work on the inner face of the water tank is not required. The number of auxiliary materials receiving a pit is small, and the size of the water tank is standardized to one kind. Cooling water led out of a refrigerator passes through a pipe 14 extending from a header 13, flows down on an outer face of a heat exchanger 21 as water spray from above the heat exchanger 21, drops into the water tank 24 disposed as the integral unit below the heat-exchanging section unit 2 and circulates to the refrigerator from the water tank 24. A cooling tower 10 thus constructed can be separated to a fan unit 1 for air flow and the heat-exchanging section unit 2, so that the delivery of the cooling tower is convenient.
