Title:
EXCAVATOR, MINIEXCAVATOR IN PARTICULAR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3386403
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid demerits resulting from arrangement of a fluid tank in an engine chamber or an operator's cab and improve sound insulation by forming a fuel tank or a hydraulic oil tank to spread over the width of an upper structure in between the engine chamber and a valve case installed in the upper structure.
SOLUTION: This excavator is constituted of a caterpillar lower structure 1 and an upper structure 2 pivoted thereon. An engine chamber 10 and a valve case 11 are disposed in the upper structural frame 6 and a seat console 13 is provided in an operater's cab 4 positioned at the almost center of the upper structural frame 6 and a heater 15 is installed beneath a driver's seat 14. Two fluid tanks 20, 21, namely, a fuel tank and a hydraulic oil tank are disposed between the engine chamber 10 and the valve case 11 and over the full width of the upper structural frame 6. These tanks separate the engine chamber 10 from the valve case 11 to absorb sound of the engine and effectively absorb or insulate noise generated in the valve case 11.
