Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust control device of a two-cycle internal combustion engine for obtaining high output of the engine when setting the opening timing of exhaust ports to the maximum early timing by improving combustion stability by restraining the occurrence of irregular combustion when setting the opening timing of the exhaust ports to the maximum delay timing.
SOLUTION: An exhaust control valve 20 of this exhaust control device of the two-cycle internal combustion engine has valve elements 21 and 22 freely movable between a maximum projecting position for setting the maximum delay timing of the exhaust ports 12 and 13 and a retreat position for setting the maximum early timing, and the valve elements 21 and 22 are provided with control surfaces 24 and 25 for closing upper side port parts 12d and 13d of the exhaust ports 12 and 13 by facing to a cylinder hole 5 in the maximum projecting position of the valve elements 21 and 22. Lower edge parts 24b and 25b of the control surfaces 24 and 25 are formed into a shape almost matching with upper edge parts 12a and 13a of the exhaust ports 12 and 13. The valve elements 21 and 22 are provided with a pair of communicating passages 33 and 34 having one end parts 33a and 34a opening in lower side control surface parts 24e and 25e positioned below the uppermost parts 24b1 and 25b1 of the lower edge parts 24b and 25b in the maximum projecting position of the valve elements 21 and 22 and having the other end part directly opening in an exhaust passage.
