Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve dispersibility of an exhaust gas from a multi-cylinder engine to a catalyst and the like in an exhaust emission control device, and to improve exhaust gas purification performance by substantially unifying a flow speed of the exhaust gas in the whole treatment carrier such as the catalyst.SOLUTION: Two collective pipe portions 31 are disposed on substantially symmetrical positions through a partitioning plate portion 33 of the linear cross-sectional shape disposed at the central portion, and respectively formed into the D-shaped cross-sectional shapes. The D-shaped cross-sectional shape is composed of a first linear portion 34, a pair of second linear portions 35 respectively connected to end portions of the first linear portion 34 substantially in parallel with each other, and a circular arc portion 36 connecting end portions at a side opposite to the first linear portion 34, of the pair of second linear portions 35.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
