PURPOSE: To prevent generation of heat deterioration of circumferential parts of a catalyst device, and also reduce a cost on the basis of reduction of the number of the catalyst device, in the exhaust device of a horizontally mounted type V-type engine.
CONSTITUTION: The pipe part 18b downstream end part of a front side exhaust manifold 18 and the pipe part 19b downstream end part of a rear side exhaust manifold 19 are connected to each other on the front side of an engine 15 on an engine 15 side part corresponding to the one side part of a vehicle so as to form a single exhaust pipe 20, the exhaust pipe 20 is extended downward from a confluent part (C), and curved backward on the lower side of the engine 15 so as to form an exhaust passage which is extended backward the engine 15, and a catalyst device 21 for purifying exhaust gas is interposed on a part which is positioned forward the engine 15 of the exhaust pipe 20 downstream of the confluent part (C). The downstream end part of the front side exhaust manifold 18 is vent downward on the front part of the engine 15, and connected to the confluent part (C), the downstream end part of the rear side exhaust manifold 19 is extended forward along the engine 15 side part, and then the downstream end part is curved downward smoothly on the front side of the engine 15, and it is extended, and then it is connected to the confluent part (C).
