Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device of an internal combustion engine free from increase of pressure loss from start of use of a filter and capable of preventing abnormal temperature rise in regenerating a filter.SOLUTION: A control device 65 controls a combustion unit 64 to repeat a first regeneration processing condition and a second regeneration processing condition of a filter 62a. The control portion 65 controls the combustion unit 64 to suppress combustion of PM by keeping a temperature of the filter 62a at less than 500°C at an outer peripheral portion 62e of the filter 62a in the first regeneration processing condition, to burn PM by keeping the temperature of the filter 62a at 500°C or more and 580°C or less at an inner peripheral portion 62f of the filter 62a, and to move ash after the combustion of PM to a downstream side of the filter 62a by a gas flow passing through the filter 62a. Further the control portion 65 controls the combustion unit 64 to enhance the combustion of PM by keeping the temperature of the filter 62a at a temperature higher than 580°C at the outer peripheral portion 62e and the inner peripheral portion 62f of the filter 62a in the second regeneration processing condition.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
