Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control system in which an oxidation catalyst device, a fine particle collection device and a NOx control catalyst device are installed in sequence at an exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine from an upstream side where sulfur oxide can be prevented from being adhered to the NOx control device of a subsequent stage and the exhaust emission control performance can be maintained under its high level and provide a sulfur poisoning restriction method of the exhaust emission control system.SOLUTION: This invention is constituted by comprising an exhaust emission bypass passage 11b including a sulfur oxide adsorption device 17 in parallel with an exhaust emission main passage 11a acting as an exhaust emission passage 11 between a fine particle collection device 13 and NOx control catalyst device 14; exhaust selection mechanisms 18a, 18b for changing over a flow passage for exhaust emission gas G and an exhaust emission bypass passage 11b; and a control device for controlling the exhaust selection mechanisms 18a, 18b and at the same time the sulfur oxide adsorption device 17 is constituted by a reaction vessel filled with sulfur oxide adsorption agent with magnesium and aluminum oxide being applied as composition.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
