Abstract:
To provide an exhaust emission control system capable of preventing a reduction in the exhaust emission control performance of an internal combustion engine while keeping on exhaust circulation during the regeneration processing of a filter, regardless of the temperature of an exhaust circulation catalyst.SOLUTION: An exhaust emission control system 4 includes a filter 6, an exhaust circulation passage 8, an exhaust circulation catalyst 10, and a control part 12, the filter 6 being arranged in an exhaust passage 234 of an internal combustion engine 2 for collecting materials from exhaust gas. The exhaust circulation passage 8 connects the exhaust passage 234 and an intake passage 230 of the internal combustion engine 2 for performing exhaust circulation to circulate the exhaust gas from the internal combustion engine 2 in intake air into the internal combustion engine 2, the exhaust circulation catalyst 10 is arranged in the exhaust circulation passage 8 for purifying the exhaust gas. The control part 12 performs temperature rise control to raise the temperature of the exhaust circulation catalyst 10 prior to the regeneration control if the temperature of the exhaust circulation catalyst 10 to be activated is lower than a predetermined temperature when executing the regeneration control to remove the materials collected in the filter while performing the exhaust circulation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
