Abstract:

PURPOSE: To feedback-correct overs and shorts of exhaust gas recirculating amount due to aged deterioration or the like, in an exhaust gas recirculation control device for a Diesel engine.

CONSTITUTION: An exhaust gas recirculation control device, arranged in flow pipes 15, 17 for recirculating exhaust gas of an engine 1 partly in its intake system, is constituted by having a recirculation control valve 11 of adjusting an amount of recirculating this exhaust gas. An intake pressure sensor 46 is provided in the engine 1, to provide in the recirculation control valve 11 an opening sensor 44 for monitoring its opening. In an electronic control device 40, transition of a detected intake pressure is learned at idle time of the engine 1, also to calculate a target value of this intake pressure based on a monitored opening of the recirculation control valve 11, so as to calculate an opening correction amount of the recirculation control valve 11 capable of canceling a difference between a target value and a learned value of these intake pressures. An opening of this recirculation control valve 11, feedback-controlled to be based on a load and rotational speed of the engine 1, is corrected by this calculated correction amount.
