To provide an exhaust muffler of engine having a high durability, and capable of obtaining high engine output.
In a muffler of engine, a bowl type plug 5 is attached in an exhaust gas guide pipe 2; the interior of the exhaust gas guide pipe 2 is partitioned into a first passage 6 at upstream side and a second passage 7 at downstream side by the bowl type plug 5; a plurality of exhaust gas outflow apertures 8 facing an exhaust gas expansion chamber 3 are opened on a circumferential wall of the first passage 6; a plurality of exhaust inflow apertures 9 facing an exhaust gas expansion chamber 3 are opened on a circumferential wall of the second passage 7; an exhaust gas E1 within the first passage 6 flows out of the exhaust outflow apertures 8 into the exhaust gas expansion chamber 3; and an exhaust gas E2 within the exhaust gas expansion chamber 3 flows into the second passage 7 from the exhaust inflow apertures 9. Out of wall surfaces of a bowl type plug end wall 10, a surface facing the first passage 6 is made to be convex-shaped curved surface protruding to the first passage 6 side, thereby the exhaust gas E1 that has reached the terminating portion of the first passage 6 is allowed to be deflected to he exhaust outflow apertures 8 side on the convex-shaped curved surface of the bowl type plug end wall 10.
