Abstract:
To reduce a space required for a NOx adsorption catalyst using a coaxially arranged dual leg treatment device for exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine.
An exhaust gas treatment device for the internal combustion engine, and its system and method are provided. The exhaust gas treatment system 10 and its method use the catalyzer type coaxially arranged duel leg device 20. The device consists of a housing 22 having a first flow path 46 and a second flow path 48 with a coaxially arranged portion 48a, a device 80 for selectively directing the exhaust gas to the first or second flow path, and the first NOx adsorption catalyst 54 stored in the first flow path.
