To provide a room entrance/exit management system which can instantly address a requirement for an extension of an expiration date of authentication information while maintaining constant security.

The personal information which is managed by a database 600 on personal information on the center side is stored in the database 300 on personal information on the terminal side of a building 810a as a personal information table 310. A user inputs his or her ID into a room entrance/exit terminal unit 100 in order to unlock an electric lock door 410. An ID controller 200 checks the input ID against the personal information table 310, and unlocks the electric lock door 410 when authentication authorization is performed. When the user wants to extend the expiration date of the ID, he or she makes a request for the extension by operating the room entrance/exit terminal unit 100. The ID controller 200 temporarily extends the expiration date of the ID, and provides notification of it to a center device 500. When the extension of the expiration date has not been authorized in a control center 820, the ID controller 200 puts the expiration date back into its original date.
