Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the user of an extension telephone set from feeling incongruity when the user selects an incoming melody on the slave set.
SOLUTION: The slave set 30 of this extension telephone set receives the leading section of music data transmitted from the master set 10 of the telephone set and stores it in a memory 33 (S120). Upon receiving the completed music data transfer from the master set 10 ('yes' in S130), the reproduction of an n-th music is started (S140) and processing for selecting satisfactory music is executed. When the satisfactory music is selected and operation is made for deciding the selected music as the incoming melody ('yes' in S150), the transfer of the whole music data of the n-th music is instructed to the master set 10 (S160). When the instruction is made in S160, the master set 10 transmits the whole music data of the designated music to the slave set 30. The slave set 30 receives the whole music data (S170) and executes music registering for the data in the memory 33 as the incoming melody (S180).
