To provide an extension type protective shield, comprising protective shield plate main bodies having an extension function, capable of solving problems of conventional protective shield plate main bodies used by riot police or the like without the extension function that cannot be contracted in size, requiring large storage space cost, and causing inconveniences in carrying in moving or riding a vehicle, reducing storage space cost due to ability to contract in shield plate main body size, and providing easiness carrying in moving or riding a vehicle because extension function parts of the protective shield plate main bodies are usable as a grip to carry.

This protective shield comprises the protective shield plate main bodies 1, 1a, or 2 provided with the extension function. The extension function is achieved by three extension part main bodies as illustrated in illustration 2, for example.
