Abstract:
To manufacture an external-cylinder stock for a deformed cross-section cylinder lock by plastic working.
A method for manufacturing the external-cylinder stock is composed of the first process for manufacturing a rectangular blank by press working, the second process for folding the blank in a longitudinal direction by plastic bending to form a cylinder part 4 having a circular cross section and a pin tumbler holding part 9 formed by making the connecting end edge of the cylinder part 4 extend outward for mutual junction, and the third process for reinforcing the junction part of the holding part 9 by welding.
