Title:
EXTERNAL TRIPPING DEVICE OF CIRCUIT BREAKER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2013218897
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an external tripping device of a circuit breaker capable of being attached on the circuit breaker under such condition as the circuit breaker is attached to an attaching rail.

A case 2 of an external tripping device 1 is attached to a breaker body 51 of a circuit breaker 50 in such a manner as to be articulated to the breaker body. In the case 2, there are housed an interlock rod 10 whose one part protrudes from a side surface that faces the breaker body 51 of the circuit breaker 50, to cause a contact point of the circuit breaker 50 to perform off-operation by the protruding portion, and a tripping mechanism which drives the interlock rod 10 so that the contact point of the circuit breaker 50 is off-operated at the time of abnormal voltage of a power source that is supplied to a load through the circuit breaker 50. On a rear surface of the case 2, there is provided a groove, which allows an attaching rail 60 to penetrate, to which the circuit breaker 50 is attached. On a side surface of the case 2 that faces the breaker body 51, a flexible projection 6 is provided. And at a tip end of the projection 6, there is provided a claw 6a which protrudes in normal direction on the rear surface of the case 2, to be hooked on the breaker body 51 of the circuit breaker 50.
