Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the generality of writing or reading information by converting a signal by a signal converting circuit when the dimensions of floppy disks connected to an external computer are different. CONSTITUTION:The signal converting circuit 20 converts the signal for a 8 inch floppy disk from a D disk driver 13 to the signal for a 5 inch disk. The computer 1 controls the signal converting circuit 20 through a cable 6 and a first switch 17 to selectively drive the disk drivers 12, 13 and write and read the information. In such a way, the 5 inch floppy disk and the 8 inch floppy disk can be apparently controlled by the computer 1 to convert the 5 inch signal to the 8 inch signal, write in the 8 inch floppy disk and copy between the disks of 5 inch and 8 inch and improve the generality.
