Abstract:
PURPOSE: To restrain deformation of an extrusion material frame such as a front pillar caused by a roof collapsing load.
CONSTITUTION: Projections 2, 3 and 4 are arranged downward from the upper wall 1a of a joint 1 formed of a casting and so on. On the other hand, in a connecting part 8 of a front pillar 5, a hole 12 is bored in the upper wall 11, and a hole 14 is bored in the lower wall 13, so as to be engaged with the projection 2 when being connected to the joint 1. In a connecting part 9 of a side roof rail 6, a hole 16 is bored in the upper wall 15, and a hole 18 is bored in the lower wall 17. In a connecting part 10 of a front roof rail 7, a hole 20 is bored in the upper wall 19, and a hole 22 is bored in the lower wall 21. An extrusion molding material such as the front pillar 5 is connected to the joint 1 from a direction for crossing the axial direction, and the projections are fixed in the respective connecting holes.
