Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the irregularity of printing density and to enhance printing quality by detecting the opaque mark applied to a donor having a defect in a donor web producing process in a printing process and sending the part thereof as it is.
CONSTITUTION: The auxiliary red LED 24a provided on the central line of a donor shows zero transmission at a time of the reading of an opaque mark 15 in the yellow patch Y of the donor having a defect. That is, transmitted light is not detected in an auxiliary red sensor 24. A regular color patch detector used in order to detect patches of respective colors consists of a red sensor 18, a green sensor 20 and a blue sensor 22 and is arranged at a place shifted from the central line of a donor web.
