PURPOSE: To obtain a gum tape for reducing the manufacturing cost of a fabric base for a gum tape and hardly making a rectangular tear when torn by hand.
CONSTITUTION: Two bobbins 11 and 12 in four bobbins form a set and the other two bobbins 13 and 14 makes a set. Yarns are guiding by different yarn guides 15 and 16, respectively and joined by a length measuring storage part 20. The length of the two yarns is measured at one time, the yarns in sets of two are delivered to a main nozzle 31 and weft is fed at intervals of twice those of feeding one by one. The times of feeding are reduced in comparison with a case of feeding one by one and the production rate is doubled. When warp is used as a faric base for a gum tape so as to lay the warp in the length direction, weft in one set of two are positioned in the width direction so that the gum tape is hardly torn in the width direction. Consequently, rectangular tear will not occur and the gum tape can be smoothly cut and is extremely conveniently handled.
