Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate delays and losses in transmission data and the occupancy of a memory part and to improve usability by switching to another mail server and transmitting read image data to an opposite party, when the mail server utilized at normal time on a LAN is unavailable, related to a facsimile equipment connectable to the LAN.
SOLUTION: A system control part 11 of this facsimile equipment 10, provided with a LAN I/F part 16 switches to another SMTP server registered in a memory part 17 in accordance with priority, when the SMTP server 20 used at the normal time is unusable and executes mail transmission of the read image data. At this time, when a group destination address for utilizing the function of the SMTP server is specified, a development list of individual destination addresses registered linked with the group destination address inside the memory part 17 is read and used, and the image data read are distributed via the switched SMTP server.
