Abstract:
PURPOSE:To eliminate the trouble in facsimile communication, by executing a confidential transmission by a confidential transmission means when a retransmission is necessary as the result of confidential polling communication executed by a confidential polling communication means. CONSTITUTION:Image information is stored in an image information storing means 111 while personal identification number corresponding to the image information is stored in an identification code storing means 113. In case of receiving a polling signal 123, the confidential polling communication means 121 transmits the data stored in the means 111 in accordance with the personal identification number stored in the means 113. A deciding means 131 decides whether a retransmission is necessary or not based on the result of the communication by the means 121, when decided as necessary, the confidential transmission means 141 reads out the image information from the means 111 and the identification code from the means 113, and executes a confidential transmission. As a result, the trouble in facsimile communication can be eliminated.
