Title:
FASTENING BODY STRUCTURE FOR SCREW
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3442894
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of fatigue cracks from a female screw bottom by providing a groove on a female screw hole in a structure applied with a fluctuating load from the female screw side.
CONSTITUTION: For application to the female screw hole of a piston crown fitting bolt 5, for example, a groove 9 is formed at the upper section of a female screw 7 threaded on a piston crown 1. The flow of the stress generated on the piston crown 1 by the explosion gas pressure 8 is detoured by the effect of the groove 9, and the stress transmitted to the first tooth of a female screw is reduced. When the groove depth near the female screw bottom diameter is set to 10-15% of the nominal screw size, the stress of the first screw bottom can be reduced, and the bottom stress of the second and subsequent female screws is not increased. Fatigue cracks on the female screw bottom caused by the fluctuation load from the female screw can be prevented in a screw fastening body.
