Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve discharge performance at low rotation, and to prevent cavitation erosion at high rotation, with a simple structure.SOLUTION: An elastic body 36 presses a side plate 342 on end surfaces of rotors 32 and 33 to reduce a side clearance and improve the discharge performance of a feed pump 3. Fuel discharged from an operation chamber is led to the side plate 342 side, and the pressure of the fuel is acted on the side plate 342 in a direction in which the side plate 342 separates from the end surfaces of the rotors 32 and 33, so that the slide plate 342 moves in the direction separating from the end surfaces of the rotors 32 and 33 at high-rotation to increase the side clearance. A part of discharged fuel is returned to the operation chamber 35 through the slide clearance. Therefore, the amount of the fuel sucked up from a fuel tank can be reduced, and suction negative pressure can be reduced, so that cavitation erosion can be prevented.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
