Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine that can inhibit an increase in PN.SOLUTION: In a control device, a request operating point of an internal combustion engine at restart from intermittent stop is read in (S12), and in the case where the request operating point belongs to a cylinder cut-off operation possible region A2 (S14), when a determination that the request operating point belongs to a cylinder cut-off operation restriction region a on a high load side is made (S16), an all cylinder operation is performed (S17, S19, S26) and then is switched to a cylinder cut-off operation (S25). When the request operating point belongs to the cylinder cut-off operation possible region A2 and a determination that the request operating point does not belong to the cylinder cut-off operation restriction region a on a low load side is made (S16), the all cylinder operation is prevented to switch to the cylinder cut-off operation (S18, S19).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
