PURPOSE: To automate the feeding of packing steel plates, relieve the operators from heavy labor and reduce the amount of the steel plates so as to reduce the running cost.

CONSTITUTION: A takeout device 2 is provided to successively take out the packing steel plates conforming with the size of coil from a cubic storing shelf 1 holding the accumulated packing steel plates so sized as to conform with the size of the coil to be packed and a cutting device 3 for tentering the packing steel plate taken out of the cubic storing shelf 1, a welding device 4 for overlapping and welding together a specific number of the tentered packing steel plates and a carrying device 5 for carrying the packing steel plates to each device, are provided.
