Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent dyspepsia such as diarrhea or loose stools and to healthy grow a young ruminant by feeding with an artificial milk having controlled osmotic pressure so as to avoid rennet solidification in its fourth stomach.
SOLUTION: An artificial milk compsn. which essentially consists of whey and contains lecithin and polyoxyethylene glycerine fatty acid ester and contains 20 to 30wt.% fat and oil is dissolved or dispersed in water or warm water to prepare an artificial milk. The osmotic pressure of the prepared artificial milk is controlled to 100 to 300mOsm/kg H1O and fed to a young ruminant so as to prevent rennet solidification in the fourth stomach of the animal.
