A fixed beam portion of each contact is fixed at both ends to an insulating housing, a movable contact portion facing an insertion recess of the fixed beam portion is made to elastically contact the fixed contact portion which is formed at an opposite site to an insert plate portion of the male connector to be inserted into the insertion recess, and the contact, if narrower, is made to contact the fixed contact portion which is fixed at both ends and has sufficiently great contact pressure.
