Title:
FENDER STRUCTURE OF AUTOMOBILE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000177647
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To improve impact absorbency at a boundary of a hood and a front fender and to secure up and down rigidity at a parting part to the hood of the front fender.

A support panel 34 is arranged on an apron upper member. A stage 34B is formed above the longitudinal wall side 34A of the support panel 34. The longitudinal wall unit 14B of a front fender 14 is supported between a holding unit 34C above the stage 24B and a holding claw 36 formed upward along the inward direction of the car breadth of the stage 34B. The holding claw 36 is set to be lower than the holding unit 34C of the support panel 34. When load exceeding the prescribed value is given to the longitudinal wall unit 14B of the front fender 14 from the upper part, the longitudinal wall unit 14B is off the holding claw 36 on the support panel 34 to inward direction of the car breadth as shown by two-dot chain line.
