This fiber actuator has such a structure that a part of a surface of a fiber-shaped material given by using at least one kind selected from a group consisting of a conductive polymer and an ionic conductive polymer is laminated with a material different from the two kinds of the materials. Further, the fiber actuator may have such a structure that a part of an internal radial section of the fiber-shaped material given by using at least one kind selected from the group consisting of the conductive polymer and the ionic conductive polymer is perforated in a direction perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the fiber-shaped material by the material different from the two kinds of the materials.
